Fascinating huge public library in Ichikawa. Open to all even for foreigners like me. I’m surprised to see that the library was packed with people. It’s almost hard to find a space where you can study. It’s nice to see that Japanese are so diligent regardless of status and age.

Colorful origamis made by children were hanged outside the Ichikawa City Library. I envy the kids for their talent and creativity. Origami decorations like these would be nice inside the house too. I want to make the same thing for my bedroom.

Japanese pasta with garlic and chicken (¥750.00). Found a sole pasta store at the Colton Plaza in Ichikawa. My stomach’s happy after finishing a plate. A bit oily but still delicious.

Feeling accomplished! Went to Ichikawa City Hall today to have my residence registration processed… alone. Thanks for the lady who can speak English at the information desk who guided me on the process. I think I can survive in Japan even if I can’t speak their language.

Foreigners who will be staying in Japan for more than 3 months should register at the local city hall within 14 days from the date of arrival. Process should not take more than 10 minutes, just bring the residence card and passport.
