A few stems of edible seaweed costs ¥400. Went to grocery store alone and as expected it took me longer than usual. It’s not easy when you have to rely on the pictures in the the food labels because I can’t read Japanese characters.

Feeling accomplished! Went to Ichikawa City Hall today to have my residence registration processed… alone. Thanks for the lady who can speak English at the information desk who guided me on the process. I think I can survive in Japan even if I can’t speak their language.

McDonald’s for lunch and I’m afraid it’s going to be an everyday food for me. Should have studied a little Japanese before coming here so I could at least be confident in ordering food from other stores. =(

Buffet Meal Manila. Tried Yakimix to celebrate my brother’s birthday. Food served are Japanese, Korean and Chinese with a little hint of Filipino taste. I’m a little disappointed with the grills. Waited for around 20 minutes before finally getting a table. Weekdays dinner price is PHP638.00.

China Guitars Manila. As a beginner to playing guitar, I bought a cheap one at Benjie Music Store found near V. Mapa station of LRT2. I’m not very knowledgeable about guitar technicalities so I let my ears decide which one to buy. This guitar sounded very nice but I have to return it the following day because the strings are too high from the fret board. Price is php1,500.00.
