A BOWL of kimchi served as appetizer. That’s Korean restaurant for you, they are always generous when it comes to appetizers. But since we paid service charge, I think we’re just getting what we paid for.

Museum of Art in Atami City. In this museum, you can see the famous paintings of Katsushika Hokusai called the 36 Views of Mt. Fuji. He’s a promiment figure in the art field during the Edo period in Japan. Entrance fee is ¥800 per person.

This is a famous tourist spot here in Yamagata called the Ginzan Onsen. You can try a Japanese bath at these inns or what Japanese call ryokans. There are also souvenir shops along.

A shot of the Bay Area in Hakodate with Mt. Hakodate at the back. You can find souvenir shops and restaurants inside these red brick warehouses which was built in the early 20th century.

Niigata’s Karekatsu is not to be missed if you happen to be in this lovely place. The tasty pork covered with thin layer of batter is famous in Japan. We had our lunch at Matsunomiya, a few blocks away from Niigata Station. Price is ¥550 per order.
